Hi,
The following things can be inferred based on the
semen analysis report findings you have furnished.
1. Viscosity - higher than normal.
2. Reaction, which is alkaline is normal.
3. Fructose should be positive and is present.
4.
Total sperm count of 8 million/ml is less than normal.
5.
Sperm motility with 10% actively motile is less than normal.
6. Sperm morphology is indicating more percentage of abnormal/variable forms.
7. Microscopy is indicating there is presence of infection with 8 to 10 pus cells/HPF and 2 to 4 Epithelial cells/HPF.
Hence the
fertility factor at this stage is less than normal, probably due to the presence of infection. You need to take an appropriate course of antibiotics to overcome the same. Following the completion of the course of medication, kindly get a repeat semen analysis done after 3 weeks to look for the improvement.
Hope the information provided would be helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S
