What Does This Semen Analysis Test Result Indicate?
Dear Doctor, I am 31 yrs old and my wife is 28. We are planing to have a baby and I did a semen analysis recently. The report highlights are as follows. Sperm Count 5 mill/ml Active 30% Total Abnormal 10% Rapid Linear Progressive - Nil Sluggish Linear Progressive - 20% Non Progressive - 10% Non Motile - 70% What are the implications of these values.
Hello dear Understand your concern Compare your semen analysis with normal semen analysis. Sperm count: 15 millions or more__________5_very low Motility: >40%___________30_________low motility So you have very little motility with low sperm count. Natural pregnancy is not possible. You should consult the urologist for your problem. IUI or IVF should be done for pregnancy. Hope this may help you
