What Does This Sperm Test Result Indicate?

Hello doctor,I am 27 years old. I have tested my semen today. The result is as follows,Quantity 3.1ml,viscocity light viscous,ph 7.5,Sperm count 15.4million/ml,motility & non-motility ratio---,1st hour 50:50,2nd hour 40:60,3rd hour 30:70,4th hour 20:80,Type of movement sluggish ,head normal,middle piece normal,tail normal,pus cells 2-4/hpf,rbcs nil.What is my problem? What medicine should I eat?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your semen report , you have 3.2 ml semen volume, 15.4 million sperm count/ml . As per motitily, 1st hour motility is 50% 2nd hour 40%, third hour 30% & after 4 hour motility is 20%. Overall motility is sluggish. As per shape sperm are of normal shape & normal tail. There are few pus cells which are not significant.

So all together your semen report shows that you have oligospermia (reduced sperm count) & asthenospermia (reduced sperm motility). This might be the cause of infertility problem you are facing.

These problem can arise due to abnormal semen liquification, Excessive stress, Regular steam bath & due to testicular problems
