What Does This Stool Test Result For Persistent Stomach Pain Indicate?

Hi, my daughter is 7 years old. Sometimes she complains of stomach pain and vomiting. I have tested her urine and stool. The stool report says reaction- acidic, WBC/Pus Cells 2-3 and all other absent. The urine report says specific gravity 1.015 WBC/Pus Cell-1-2 , Tc/Sqc 1-2 and all other normal. Can you answer the cause of stomach pain? Is ther any abnormality in stool and urine?

Hi,

The stool and urine report seem to be normal and do not identify any problem with urine or the stools. I would recommend her to have a stool test for ova and parasite and also a stool antigen for giardia. If these come out normal she might also need an ultrasound of the abdomen.
Meanwhile you can give her some extra fiber with diet especially taking prunes or you can add fiber supplements like metamucil which can be taken in the pharmacy. She will also need to drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
