What Does This Thyroid Test Report Indicate?

MY BLOOD TEST CAME BACK CONCERNING MY THYROID AND MY DOC. SAID IT S NORMAL RANGE 0.34-5.60 UIU/ML WITH TSH 1.00 . I WAS READING A STATEMENT FROM A DOC. RAPHAEL KELLMAN. HES SAYING THAT IN SOME CASES THE BLOOD READING WILL SHOW ITS GOOD BUT HE GOES FARTHER . HE SAYS HE USES A EXPANDED PANEL PLUS A HIGHLY SPECIALIZED TEST CALLED THE TRH STIMULATION TEST. HE SAYS THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF CLINICAL ENDOCRINOLOGY CURRENYLY RECOMMENDS TREATMENT FOR ANYONE OVER 4.1. I HAVE ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD THYROID.?

Hello,

You can test your free t3 and free t4 levels to confirm your disease. As we all know that if free t3and t4 levels are high that means you are not having hypothyroidism.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
