What Does This Thyroid Ultrasound Test Result Mean?

Good day. I would like to know what is the meaning of this ultrasound result of my thyroid.
right lobe: 5.64x2.01x2.51cms
left lobe: 5.80x2.04x2.49cms
The right and left thyroid lobes are slightly enlarged with no focal lesions seen. However, the thyroid parenchymal pattern are coarse and inhomogenously echogenic. Smalll calcifications are seen in the left. Isthmus is not thickened with no focal lesions

Hi.

Calcifications are seen in your thyroid gland, these are more common after a infection or anything that can cause an inflammation. Nothing else more significant, but yet it would be worth reporting this to your doctor who will then choose to either conduct a histopathology test or not.

Best wishes.
