What Does This Transrectal Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hi, I just had a transrectal ultrasound and got the following results: Cervix: measures 2.4 x 3.0 x 2.6 cm, with distinct canal and homogenous stroma Endometrium: measures 14. 0 mm, hyperechoic, with regular endo-myometrial junction Uterus: corpus measures 6.6 x 7.5 x 5.9cm, anteverted, with irregular contour and a well defined hypoechoic mass measuring 7.04 x 7.31 x 7.11 cm, left anterior, intramura with subserous component Right Ovary: measures 1.9 x 2.6 x 1.7 cam, normal in size and echopattern Left Ovary: measures 2.6 x 1.9 x 1.7 cm, normal in size and echopattern Cul-De-Sac: no free fluid Impression: normal sized anteverted uterus with myoma as described thickened endometrium normal ovaries Notes: Im on my 3rd day of menstruation when this was taken, 25 years old.

Hello,

* The ultrasound report is suggestive of benign growth involving the uterine muscle layer reported as myoma of the uterus.

* The best measure is to remove the myoma via laparoscopic surgery with expert OBGY or laparoscopic surgeon.
