What Does This Transvaginal Pelvic Sonogram Indicate?

Hello Doctor, last Wednesday I went into the Women s imaging center and had a Transvagial Pelvic sonogram done due to Postmenopausal bleeding, today I received the letter about the result, I don t understand most of it but until I see my GYN I need to know. the letter states that it show endometrial mass suspicious for endometrial carcinoma. Is not carcinoma ( cancer ) ?

Ultrasound scan done via VAGINALLY is transvaginal scan. It shows some mass inside the cavity .Considering your age possibility of cancer.But need not be always.Hence consult your gynecologist at the earliest.
