What Does This Transvaginal Ultrasound Report Specify?

I had a transvaginal ultrasound last week and thsee are the results Uterus measures: 7.6 x 3.6 x 4.8 cm Endometrial strip measures 1.1 cm The endometrial strip is homogeneous. Right ovary: 4.5 × 3.3 x 2.8 cm There is a dominant right ovarian follicle measuring 2.6 cm (what does this mean and is that large) Left ovary: 3.4 x 1.9 x 3.1 cm I have not had a period in 10 months and have previously had irregular periods. I have had abdominal pain in my ovaries for the last three weeks now, this is why the ultra sound was done. I had an abdominal ultra sound done as well and all organs were withing normal range. I don t know what normal ranges would be for these and is it possible the follicle is mistaken? Id have ovulated already if i had a follicle that large last week that was causing pain for weeks?

hi healthcare magic user it seems that you are having ovarian cyst on right side which looks like functional cyst.
if I would have been your doctor I would have advised you to start with progesterone tablet to get period twice a day for 10days. as you have thick endometrium you will get period 5-7days after stopping tablet. ovarian cyst is responsible for irregular periods. in order to correct that would have advised you to get few blood tests renal, liver test, Complet blood count, blood sugar. if normal could have started you on oc pills.
