What Does This Ultrasound Of Uterus Indicate?

My daughter went in for an ultrasound because she was having pelvic pain. When doing the ultrasound her right ovary was large and she could see the blood flow (by color and heartbeat) when the tech went to the left side ovary was very small and no blood flow (no color and no heartbeat) what does this mean?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.Pelvic pain with absence ovarian vascularity and bulky right - suggests torsion ovary ( which is an emergency - needs immediate operation )
2.But in this case both ovaries shows no vascularity - which is a rarely seen.
3.It can be some technical issue - that the machine is not taking the vascularity.
4. In this case - i would recommend to get a repeat scan and good clinical examination as soon as you can.
5. There is no heart beat heard in ovaries - its just the blood flow in the ovarian arteries.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
