What Does This Ultrasound Report During 37 Weeks Of Pregnancy Indicate?
Hi, My wife is 37 weeks pregnant with Gravid uterus containing a single live fetus. As per the Obstetrican Ultrasound report, Calcification is noted(Grade II). Cervical Lenght 2.5mm. Further, one loop of Umbilical cord noted around fetal neck. Please advice it would right to go for C section or normal delivery. We have been thinking for Normal however with todays Ultrasound report, we feel may be it would be right not to take risk if any and go for C section. We have appointment with our doctor as well today. thanks in Anticipation
One loop of cord is around neck of fetus but at present that is not a cause of concern , because the fetus is taking everything from placenta of mother , even respiration. So wait for labor pain , if your wife is primigravida it will take 2-3 hours ,while if she is multi gravida it will take 1/2 -2 hours for normal delivery . Further obstetrician will observe the fetal heart sound with fetoscope , so why are you worrying . In my opinion C section is the last option . However , now a days Obstetrician decide about the delivery so remain in contact with your doctor and let her decide . Hope this will help you. Good luck.
