What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

I recently had an ultrasound done due to cramping in my uterus after strenuous lifting/standing for long periods of time. I do not see my doctor about the results for another 2 weeks and I m anxious to have an understanding of what my results mean. I have a retroverted uterus measuring 37cc in volume. No myometrial or endometrial abnormalities were demonstrated. Right ovary measures 9cc and Left ovary measures 7cc. Multiple follicles were present bilaterally. There was no adnexal mass or free fluid. Thank you

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the ultrasound is as follows:
The uterus is retroverted. Normally the uterus is anteverted in position.
The endometrium and the myometrium which form the wall of the uterus are within normal limits.
Both sided ovaries are also of normal sizes.
Multiple follicles are present which are a normal finding in ovaries.
No other abnormal mass or structure is identified on the ultrasound.
Retroverted uterus can sometimes lead to pain and menstrual abnormalities.
Thus retroverted uterus is most probable cause of cramping pain.
Consult your gynaecologist for clinical correlation and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
