What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

I just recently discovered I was pregnant. I went to an ultrasound, had a GS of 9 mm and a yolk sac of 2.6 mm. However they still are giving me a date based off of the first day of my last period (putting me at 5w6d) and I was wondering if there was a more accurate reading based on the measurements.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum.
I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that some early USG pregnancy scans could be difficult as the fetus is very small and it is quite difficult to estimate the age of fetus. So, I would like to tell you that you will be given an EDD depending on your subsequent ultrasound.

Thanks for Trusting & Posting your Query on this forum.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question.
Have a nice Day.

Regards,
Dr.Abhijeet
