Hello dear
Understand your concern
Multiple sub-capsular follicles on the both ovary suggests
polycystic ovarian disease. It is very complex disease and course is very unpredictable from person to person. Main problem in this disease is hormonal imbalance, no regular ovulation, menstrual irregularity and fertility problem.
So there may be problem in fertility in future.
Do not worry excessive but little worry is there. I advice you to consult the gynecologist and go for following investigations like reproductive hormone analysis,
lipid profile, Blood sugar and
ovarian follicle study.
Doctor will provide following treatment and advice:
To regularize the period: Oral
contraceptive pill or
progesterone pill in second half of the tablet
To induce the ovulation and maintain glucose homeostasis: metformin,
spironolactone and fluatmine.
Try these drugs for 4-6 months. If no responds then other drugs like clomiphene citrate, FSH analogue should be tried.
IVF can be done if no fertility after the taking drugs.
Last option: ovarian dreeling surgery can be done is symptoms are severe.
Diet change and life style modification:
Avoid excessive sugar and yogurt. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal. Take more fruits and green leafy vegetables, drink plenty of waters. Do regular exercise in the morning for 45-60 minutes and reduce weight around 10-12 percent if you are obese according to
body mass index.
