What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hello Dr. Rynne, Thank you for your time. I have been recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C, and in the work-up the ultrasound shows a lesion or shadowing . I can also tell you that blood tests show I have stage 2 liver fibrosis. My question is what can this shadowing be based on my diagnosis? Paula

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Liver lesions most of the time are benign and in a few cases, a malignant mass can be the case. It is important that you follow it up appropriately, as already advised by your doctor. If you upload the reports of the ultrasound, it would be easier for us to give more information on the nature of the lesion.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
