What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hi. I m 27 years old and I m married for 5 years now. I ve been trying to conceive but I m not getting pregnant maybe because of my irregular periods. I ve already got my results saying., normal sized slightly rwtroverted uterus with thickened hyperechoic endometrium. Bilateral polycystuc ovaries. No adnexal mass noted. Do I have a high tendency to get pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

I am sorry that you have difficulty with conception, it may be related to the bilateral polycystic ovaries.
There is a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome that can be associated with difficulty with conception and irregular period.

There are treatment options such as: (1) weight loss if any excess weight. Excess weight actually contributes to this condition and weight loss improves the chance of conception
(2)metformin- this drug reduces the insulin resistance that can occur with this condition and has also be shown to help with conception. It would be stopped when you conceive
(3)medications to help with ovulation eg clomid

I hope this helps
