General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Anechoic term in ultrasound scan is generally used to describe fluid. It may be cyst filled with fluid or fresh blood.

It cannot be concluded based on the ultrasound report as to what it could be due to. It needs to be further investigated by other imaging studies to know the nature of it and find out the cause.

Kindly consult your doctor for further evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
