What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

my ultrasound disclose particularly on my kidneys normal echopattern, contour and renal sinus. and a 3mm echogenic focus is likewise noted in the left inferior pole. on the impression it denotes tiny nephrocalcinosis on the left. what is this mean doctor? for now i am feeling pain on my left back side..please help

welcome to hmc,
You have a usg report suggesting nephrocalcinosis which means that there is deposition of calcium salts in your left kidney. These calcium deposits in general term is known as kidney stone hence you are experiencing the lower back pain. As you have been early diagnosed with kidney stone it is easy to remove it and may even pass in urine all you need is simple therapy of drinking loads of water 2-3L.
Make sure to intake lemon(citric acid breaks down the stone). The stone formation is usually due to metabolic disorder hence I recommend you to get all investagation done.
