Hi,
The
ultrasound report means that the placenta is located at the front of your uterus, and the lower part of the placenta is 2 cm away from the internal opening of the cervix. A grade 1 placenta is considered normal and indicates no significant abnormalities in the placenta's structure.
It's essential to keep in mind that the location of the placenta can change as the pregnancy progresses, and in many cases, the placenta moves away from the cervix as the uterus expands. In some cases, a low-lying placenta (
placenta previa) can cause
bleeding during pregnancy, but this can be managed with close monitoring and, in some cases,
bed rest. It's important to discuss any concerns with your obstetrician and follow their advice to monitor the pregnancy. Regular
prenatal care, including ultrasound, ensures a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
