What Does This Ultrasound Report Mean?

hi, I am 44 years old and want to get pregnant. i have two children already. i have a normal period still, that comes on every 25 or 26 day. went to doctors today to get ultrasound of ovaries and in left he saw one egg and suspects that right ovary might not be good in terms of what should be present at this time. remind you, my period is due in 5 days. what does this mean. do i have a chance to get pregnant or not? thank you!

Hi,

Diagnosis of pregnancy 5 days prior to periods is not possible by USG scan. It can be done by blood HCG pregnancy test if you need to note it. Presence of follicle in ovary before periods suggests it to be one of un-ruptured ovum collected in ovary making it polycystic.
