What Does This Ultrasound Report Signify?

I recently undergo transviganal ultrasound and it said that I have hydrosalpinx measuring 52x39x27mm vol.49ml. And lateral to the right ovary is an irregular cyst, anechoic measuring 59x27x48mm=48mm compatible to encysted fluid adhesions. What does it mean? Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There is a fluid collection in one of your Fallopian tubes and cyst in the ovary. If left untreated it might cause infertility in the future.

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. A laparoscopic repair may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
