What Does This Ultrasound Result For Abdomen Indicate?
Hey, i have been witnessing severe pain near my right kidney and after getting a full abdominal ultrasound the results shows that there is Mild dilated pelvicalyceal systems & ureter. Can u help me with the reason and what should I do next.Thank you
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The reason why you are getting pain in the kidney is probably due to kidney stone formation and its dislodgement through urine. The stone could have been still impacted at the lower part of the ureters. That is why the ultrasound report says that your kidneys and ureters are mildly dilated. You may require CT scan as the stone might not have been picked up by ultrasound scan. You need to consult Urologist for proper evaluation of kidney stones and get it treated accordingly. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
