What Does This Ultrasound Scan Report Of Abdomen Indicate?
Kindly request you to explain the disease of the person . In Ultrasound scan of abdomen the report of 40 yr old Male says : The liver is shrunken in size,shows coarse echotexture.No IHBR dilatation. Portal vein and common bile duct are normal. Gallbladder: is normally distended.No calculus seen.Wall thickness measures 9mm Pancreas: is normal in size and normal echopattern. Spleen :is enlarged in size(15.9cm) and shows multiple splenic hilum collaterals noted,splenic vein dilated and measures 12mm. Right kidney: is normal in size shows normal pelvicalyceal system and normal corticomedullary differentiation.No calculus seen. Right ureter: not dilated Left kidney: is normal in size,shows normal pelvicalyceal system and normal cortico medullary differentiation.No calculus seen. Left ureter:not dilated Urinary bladder:is normally distended.No calculus is seen.Wall thickness appears normal. Prostate :is normal in size,normal echopattern. Aorta&IVC and para aortic region is grossly normal.No obvious para aortic lymphadenopathy. Severe degree ascites noted. IMPRESSION: Cirrhosis of liver with portal hypertension with moderate degree splenomegaly Severe degree ascites Dilated splenic vein with multiple collaterals splenic hilum Edematous gall bladder wall.
Ultrasound report is showing cirrhosis which is serious and moderate acites needs to be taken out for abdominal relief and a sample needs cytology evaluation for further management. Kindly consult a gastroenterologist with reports for proper treatment.
