What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Pain In Testis Indicate?
My left testis have some prob and I fell pain in my lower abdoan and testis I done a scrtoal ultrasound and it found left epididymal body part appears echogenic than normal with calcified foci of size 3.7 mm mild acute on chronic epididymitis please tell me the medication for this is it serious
The USG report shows echogenic calcified foci that is indicative of small clusters of very small calcium deposits on the testicle, they are impalpable and asymptomatic. Pain and discomfort in the testis is due to inflammation of the epididymis called epididymitis commonly caused by STD. Take STD tests, if positive you will need treatment with antibiotics and antivirals.
Non sexually transmitted infection are caused by UTI. Get Urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done. Get treated. Take Naproxen, one SOS when pain. Take medicines after taking food, never in empty stomach. You should get clinically examined by a nephrologist and get all required investigations done to rule out any developing testicular cancer. This is to stay on the safer side.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
