Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Pelvic Pain Indicate?
I ve been having moderate, right-sided pelvic pain that radiates to my lower back for a few months and has caused several trips to the ER, then being told my results were fine. Finally on the last visit an ultrasound was performed where the findings stated: simple cyst that measures 3 cm on the left ovary and nothing noted on right except normal follicular pattern, however, there is not much pain/pressure on the left side. I had a follow- up US a few days ago stating minimally complex cyst that has decreased to 2.6 cm, but increased debris or hemorrhage. Still nothing found on the right ovary. Also noted was homogeneous endometrium that is 7mm thick and some nabothian cervical cysts. I have another US follow-up being scheduled in 6-8 weeks. Should I be worried?
No report is normal, echogenicity and hemorrage can be ovulation related which is absolutely not worrisome. You can wait for you next USG then consult your gynaecologist.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
