What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Uterus Indicate?
my wife has finished with six chemo cycles due to left breast cancer (size 1 cm) in Feb 15. She got a mid bleeding today from her vagina. after doing ultrasound whole abdomen with TVS following has been noticed (a) A small hypoechoic area size 9x6mm is seen in the posterior myometrium close to the fundus?Fibroid.what does this mean
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the description of the ultrasound report posted, it says that there is a small growth of 9 X 6 mm towards the posterior region in musculature of uterine tissue, which is suggestive of fibroid. Uterine fibroids, also called 'leiomyomata', are noncancerous growths that develop in or just outside a woman's uterus. As it grows, they form a benign tumor, which needs to be removed surgically. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
