What Does This Urinalysis And Blood Tests Indicate?
Dear Doctor, I have BP for several years. Recently my BP shot up to 170/100, and was 156/80-90 range for a few days. It is now controlled to 130/80. Following this I did a complete blood check up. Urianalysis was normal. Blood levels for LFT, ctreatinine, Urea are all normal. A few days ago I took a urianalysis sample. There was Albumin trace and RPC HPF 0-1. Same day late evening at doctor's instance I took a repeat urianalysis. All values for Albumin and RBC was negative/ Nil. Creatinine was 0.9 and Urea 23. I took ultra sound for Kidney and bladder too. They are normal for kidneys. However I have BPH (34 size) and there was retention ( 125ml) which was gone in next voiding. My voiding is slow. I am on BP tablets Irovel 150, Amlodac 5,nebivolol 5 and Minipress 5 at night. Kindly advise

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Occasionally in hypertensives, trace albumin and occasional rbc can be seen. 2. BPH with urine retention can lead to high risk of infection of the urinary tract 3. Do get a surgery done to improve prostatic symptoms and also to avoid urinary tract infection. Being on hypertensives along with medications for BPH can complicate management. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have mild benign prostatic hyperplasia. So you have some urinary problems like urgency and frequency. You should take minipress and finasteride according to your doctor's advice. Minipresss has dual advantage. It also reduce blood pressure and also help in prostate. When your size increase you can also go for surgery like TURP. it is trans urethral resection of prostate. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
