Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a urinalysis/MS and below is the result. Macro: pale yellow and cloudy urine Micro: Pus Cells: 1-3hpf, Epithelial cells: ++, others: Nil Culture: Yielded no bacteria growth after 48hrs of incubation at 37c. Please what does this really mean? please help interprete.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Your urinalysis report shows Pus Cells: 1-3 hpf & also presence of some Epithelial cells. However there is no bacteria growth after 48hrs of incubation at 37c. This report is normal & doesn't indicate any problem. As few no of epithelial cells & pus cell can be found in normal urine also. If you have burning sensation , increased urine frequency, etc than this report is significant & show slight Urinary tract infection. Refer to your physician for consultation
Don't worry you would be fine Hoping your query is solved
