General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your urine reports showing abundant pus cells and bacteria. So it is suggestive of acute urinary tract infection.

I suggest you give your urine sample for culture also. Meanwhile, empirically nitrofurantoin like antibiotic needs to be started. Drink more water.

The UTI can be in the form of urethritis or kidney infection. But the treatment is with antibiotics according to culture report and potassium citrate like syrup to alkalinize your urine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
