General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The report suggests moderate to high proteinuria and implies need of further evaluation. The cause of proteinuria can vary from hypertension (most prevalent) to nephtotic syndromes (a vast category of kidney disorders). I would suggest the patient to undergo kidney function test that includes blood urea, serum creatinine and spot albumin-creatinine ratio. In addition, home random blood glucose (once a day) and blood pressure monitoring for one week; twice a day AM and PM will be helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
