Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On 04/15/2013 a POC Urinalysis W Microscopy, Non Automated results RBC 3 - 5 my value, Crystals, Present. 06/17/2015 RBC Urine by Microscopy results 20 - 25/hpf. I have been referred to a urologist for further testing. Should I be concerned or is this routine?
Crystals in the urine report with red blood cells do suggest possible cause as calculus in the urinary system. Though clinical co relation with the underlying symptoms are mandatory herewith, I would suggest to discuss the need of an Ultrasound examination of the abdomen and pelvis in this regard.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
