What Does This Vaginal Ultrasound Report Suggest?

I had a vaginal ultrasound today because the gynacologist said she saw 2 openings on my cervix when she examined me. During the ultrasound she said she could see 2 black shadows but could see if I had 2 cervix so has sent me for an MRI. What could these shadows be? Could it be a not cervix or could it be something else? I had thyroid cancer a few years ago so I m quite worried.

Hello,

From the results of your tests thus far, it looks like you may have a double cervix. This at times is limited to the cervix or can extend all the way to the uterus giving two uterine spaces.
This is not related to your previous thyroid cancer. It is something that you were born with.
The MRI should give a definitive answer.

All the best.
