What Does This Widal Test Report Indicate?

HI SIR, i HAVE DONE WIDAL TEST, THE REPORT SHOWS THAT SALMONELLA TYPHI O : POSITIVE UPTO 1:80 DILUTION, SALMONELLA TYPHI H : POSITIVE UPTO 1:80 DILUTION,SALMONELLA PARATYPHI AH : NEGATIVE, SALMONELLA PARATYPHI BH :NEGATIVE, WHAT DOES THESE MEAN? KIND ANSWER ME PLS

thank you for asking your concern and and welcome to HCM. above widal report is completely normar report. if O is more than 1:160 or H is more than 1:320 then only we say it as a significant finding. but few things i would like to make you clear about widal test that it is not confirmatory test for any kind of infection. it is possitive in malaria also in typhoid also or some other uncommon infections. there is no point in doing widal for typhoid if fever is less than one week duration even it comes positive it is false. and for malaria looking at blood slide only is the reliable test. so do not depend much on widal.
