What Does This Widal Test Report Indicate?

I went for WIDAL Test and these were the results: S TYPHI O - 1/20 S. TYPHI H- 1/20 VDRL : POSITIVE CAST : seen PUS CELL : 4/1 EPITHELIAL CELL: Seen RBC : seen WBC : Not seen CRSTALS : seen (bilirubin crystal OVA : NOT SEEN BACTERIA: NOT SEEN YEAST CELL NOT SEEN T. VAGINALIS: NOT SEEN SCHISTO: NOT SEEN SPERMATOZOA : NOT SEEN Please are these test results indicative of sexually transmitted disease?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The following things can be inferred based on the report you have posted:
1. WIDL test titres does not indicate that you are having typhoid as the titres are low.
2. VDRL is showing positive reaction, which is indicative of syphilis, caused by bacteria called Treponema pallidum. It is a sexually transmitted disease.
3. Urine analysis appears to be normal.
Kindly consult Skin and STD specialist (Venereologist) for appropriate advise and treatment. Abstain from sexual activities till you are completely cured of the disease.
