What Does This X-ray Report Indicate?

Hellow! I m zandria..i just got my mom s chest xray result and the impression is Pleurodiaphragmatic adhesion, Right..All i remember is that she has recurrent cough and colds for the past months but no history of PTB. No other significant signs noted.We are from the Philippines.

Hi,

Pleurodiaphragmatic adhesion refers to scar tissue between pleura and diaphragm.This could have resulted after previous lung infections such as pneumonia, empyema or due to surgery or chest tube insertion. Generally it may not cause any symptoms other than occasional pain and hence no treatment is usually required.
