Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi i have a x-ray and the findings is suspicious densities are noted in the right upper lobe and the suggestion is the apico lordotic view and i worried about it.. my questions are? 1 do i capable to work? 2what are the possible result of apico lordotic? 3what kind of midecine i have to take? 4 can i be clear x ray for a weeks?
Hi The chest x ray findings in your query are suggestive of chronic infections like tuberculosis.
The apicolordotic (apical lordotic) view visualizes diseases at the top of the lung better than the standard back to front view (PA view). It looks for pulmonary nodules that are lesions from pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB), or pulmonary nodules that are either benign (tumor) or malignant (cancer).
If the diagnosis of tuberculosis is confirmed by doing some additional tests like ESR, Sputum for AFB, etc. then you will be required to take 4 different antibiotics for at least 6-9 months depending upon the severity of the disease.
Once you complete the course and undergo repeat lab tests to rule out the tuberculosis infection you may be able to work.
Hope these answer your query.
