What Does Throat Pain Along With Low Grade Fever Indicate?

Dear Doctor, I have throat pain for weeks fluctuating from better to worse. Amongst other symptoms low grade fever 37.1-37.3C, sometimes semi blocked nose and head aches in addition to tiredness. My tonsils were removed about 18 years ago when I was 21 year old as I had low grade fever and constant sore throats. I felt better but a few tears back again started running similar conditions as pre tonsillectomy. often it is joined by sinuses. I am was prescribed 500 mg twice a day x 7 days Zinnat . Also decametoxin nibulaser inhalation 1-2 times a day . I am worried that the antibiotic course is not long enough . Please share your view. Many thanks Vikki

Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
Though toncils are removed yerars back... possibility of recurrent allergic rhinitis,sinus infection followed by secondary infection of bacterias.. can spread to infect paratoncillar lymphnodes &adenoids in throat to cause sore throat.
Pleae consult an ENT specialist for detailed examination &investigations (including culture &sensitivity test of throat swab) to know exact causative bacteria folloeed by specific &sufficiently long antibiotic treatment fir cure.
Staphylococcal infection is notorious gir recurrence ...even it can be irradiated with specific treatment.
