General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
from history it seems that there might be having some effusion or hematoma producing this type of pan.
There might be possibility of having some degenerative changes in your knee joint giving this problem if you are elderly.
Go for x-ray knee joint to exact cause of your problem.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
