What Does Tickling Sensation In The Chest Indicate?
I have no way of explaining the sensation except to say at night when I roll over in bed it feels as though 1. liquid sloshes from one side to the other in my chest 2. I feel a tickle around the area of my heart...akin to a butterfly s wings I know both of those descriptions are goofy, but I have no other way of using words to describe the feeling. I m a 61 year old woman, in good health, but with a mother who has afib and a father who had an aortic aneurysm.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
By your history and description possibility of stress and anxiety related symptoms is more likely. But better to first rule out heart diseases. So get done ecg, 2D echo and Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of Ecg). If all these are normal then no need to worry for atrial fibrillation (AF) and aortic aneurysm. Consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs (Propranolol and Flunarizine combination) too. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
