Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Tingling Sensation On The Arms Indicate?
I m over 70 years old and have just begun to have strong tingling in my arm(s), especially my left arm, during the night. I m not sleeping on it wrong. Sometimes the right arm. I use my cell phone a lot and know it contributes to the problem, if not the cause of it. However, though I m getting something to hold it for me, I have tried not to strain my arms before bed, and I ve read that B-complex and magnesium help and my normal dosage can be increased. Is there any other advice, besides not holding the cell phone in the air?
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -
1)Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor [Neurologist] and to confirm do MRI scan Myelogram.
2)Discuss with your treating Doctor about prescription muscle relaxants and discuss with your physiotherapist for specific exercise plan.
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -
1)Do exercise. Strengthening the trunk muscles helps stabilize and support the spine.
2)Try to maintain good posture. Good posture reduces the pressure on your spine and disks. Keep your back straight and aligned, particularly when sitting for long periods. Lift heavy objects properly, making your legs not your back.
3)Try to maintain a healthy weight.
Hope that helps
