What Does Tingling Sensation On The Lips Indicate?

Hi, my sister recently started having issues while she is at work with her throat closing and her lips will start to tingle. She had to go to the ER and they gave her an EPI pen...her job is very stressful however she believes the trigger is airborne, like a lotion or something a coworker is using. My question is this, how will she find out what the trigger is? She is in fear of losing her job and I worry about her mental well being.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

So you need to find out what is causing this kind of allergic reaction in her. For this, you need to take her to allergy specialist and get done detailed allergy testing. This will tell you things to which she is allergic. Try to avoid those things. She can also take antihistamine (Levocetrizine or Fexofenadine) and anti allergic (Montelukast) combination to relieve these symptoms.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your sister. Thanks.
