What Does Twitching Sensation In The Right Eye Indicate?

Over the past few days I ve experienced some odd sensations. It begins with a twitch in my right eye, then progresses as a pulsing sensation to the base of my skull on the right side, then to my right shoulder, and then to the inner side of my right elbow. The pulsing sensation does not seem to correspond to my heartbeat, and my heart pounds very hard while this is taking place. I have a difficult time controlling motion of my right hand while this is occurring. It is not painful, but very uncomfortable. I m 41 years old, 5ft tall, 135 lbs, at most I may have a glass or two of wine with dinner on the weekends, and although I do smoke, I have cut back a lot in the past year and am down to just a few cigarettes per day. Any ideas what this could be would be appreciated.
