What Does Uncomfortable Sore Lump Between Vagina And Anus Suggest?
Hi. I have a sore lump between my vagina and anus. It s about the size of a small marble and is very uncomfortable. I had this a few months back and it eventually went down by itself but this time it seems bigger and more uncomfortable. Any ideas what it could be?!
As you describe,it seems like you are suffering from a perineal abscess-a soft tissue infection in this area. This needs to be treated with antibiotics and analgesics. For such patients in my clinic,I usually give antibiotics like amoxicillin+cloxacillin or azithromycin(if not allergic to),along with analgesics like diclofenac or ibuprofen(tylenol is unlikely to help pain in this area).Anyhow,if there is already a pus collection,we will have to drain that before starting the antibiotics.Kindly avoid any delay in treatment,as this can cause progression of infection. Your doctor will guide you in this.
