Hello.I was laying in bed watching tv and my mouth just started bleeding. No pain nothing noticeable just the taste of blood. It stopped after rinsing for about 5 minutes and putting gauze where the blood was coming from. The blood was bright red.Any ideas what may have caused this?

Hi...
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain bleeding from a localized area of mouth which subsided on putting pressure seems most probably be due to physical trauma like injury with hard food or biting of the area with the teeth or any other form of trauma
In case if there is any lesion in mouth like an ulcer there can also be bleeding from it..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a proper visual examination will help in ruling out the exact cause and treatment can be planned accordingly..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
