What Does Urinalysis Showing WBC Esterase 2+ Abnormal Mean?

Urinalysis showed WBC esterase 2+ abnormal. What does this mean and does it need some sort of treatment? Sorry for the question. NO, I will not pay this site any money for the answer. Though you say the answers come from a doctor, there is no proof. Sorry. I will wait for my doctors appointment.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A positive urine esterase test 2+ suggests presence of bacterial infection in urine.
Urine microscopy is required to look for presence of pus cells and other evidence of infection.
Urine culture is recommended to isolate the infectious bacteria and antibiotic sensitivity should be followed by culture in case the culture is positive.
Drug sensitivity identifies the most appropriate antibiotic effective against the bacteria.

Thanks and take care
