What Does Vaginal Bleeding During Ovulation Indicate?
I had my period 9/17-9/21 and it was normal, my husband and i are trying to conceive and when I was supposed to be ovulating I started to bleed. I bled for 7 days but it was light and never needed a pad or tampon. It started pink, then turned into a deep, almost burgudy like reddish brown color, and was there every time i wiped. My periods are irregular so could it be implantation bleeding?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. Ovulation bleeding is due to hormonal shuffle during thr ovulation in menstruation cycle. It is mostly scanty to mild bleeding . Lasts for 1to 3 days at the most. The type of nleeding you have does not seem to be ovulation bleeding.... it seems to be irregular menses. You should get investigated for the irregular bleeding ,get it diagnsed by a gyndcologist &get specific treatment to correct the menstrual cycle&then plan for a baby. Thanks.
