What Does Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy Indicate?

I am 7 weeks pregnant and started spotting. I went in to the dr. And the sono. Tech said the reason for spotting can be because I m starting to miscarry because I implanted very low. Over the cervix area. But as she was measuring everything, everything was measuring exactly where It was suppose to be. The heartbeat was normal too. The np seemed positive and was going to check my progesterone levels and call me to see if I have to take that. I guess I m wondering if this baby has a chance?
