I have had a large vein in my left arm become very visible when I woke up this morning. It looks like someone drew a line from my elbow to my wrist with a green marker? I use my arms for work every day, so they are not inactive. Is this dangerous? Why did it show up overnight?
Veins are usually superficial blood vessels and are visible from underneath the skin because of their anatomical position. Kindly donot worry if it is painless.
You might have slept for a longer duration putting pressure on that particular arm unkniowingly in your sleep.
No need to worry if there is no associated pain, itching or fever. Regards, Dr.Riyanka
