What Does Weakness On The Left Side Of The Body Indicate?

I am 61 yr old female that have had a stroke on aug 22,2017 now having stroke like symtoms still the left side weakness and inability to speak clearly.i have been admitted twice since the stroke on aug 22,2017 and have had mri that showed no stroke along with ct scan. Drs are puzzled as to my continued symtoms and what is really happening now. I want to know what is happpening now?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be due to transient ischemic attack or cervical or lumbar root compression with weakness or myasthenia or multiple sclerosis or B12 deficiency etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your neurophysician get serum B12 , folic acid levels, MRI spine, check for diabetes, thyroid profile then get treated accordingly.
