What Does White Discharge From The Left Ear Indicate?

My four year old son has a thick white substance in his left ear he Dont complain of it hurting I've taken him to he the doctor but they were rushing us out because we were an add on. They gave him ear drops but didn't say what it was.he's been using the ear drops for a week and nothing has changed. He had ear tubes they came out not too long ago.Can you please help me understand what this is!?

Hi.

Thanks for the query.

Thick white substance in the ear can be ear wax accumulation as it does not cause any pain on accumulation many a times.
If it is thick accumulation and is unchanged on using ear drops then it probably needs manual removal. You can consult an Emergency room or an ENT Physician and get him checked. He can be given wax softening drops and even manual removal of wax can be done to clean his ear canal.

But I would suggest you not to try removing the same at home as you can injure the inside of his ear.
